Questions buyers ask.
Straight answers on sizes, standards and supply. For a price or a dealer, call our sales team.
What sizes of PVC pipe does Metro Plastic make?
Metro makes PVC pipe from 20 mm up to 315 mm in diameter, in pressure classes A to E and pressure ratings from PN 4 to PN 20.
Are Metro PVC pipes TBS certified?
Yes. Metro’s PVC pipes are certified by the Tanzania Bureau of Standards to TZS 605-2, which follows the international standard ISO 1452-2.
What do “Class” and “PN” mean on a PVC pipe?
Both describe the pressure the pipe is rated to carry: a higher class or PN number means a higher working pressure. The right rating depends on your project, so check the engineer’s drawings or ask our sales team.
Can PVC pipes be made to order?
Yes. Length, diameter and wall thickness can be tailored to a client’s requirements for larger orders.
Where can I buy Metro PVC pipes, and what do they cost?
Metro PVC pipes are sold through Metro's dealer network across Tanzania and in DR Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia and Malawi. Prices follow the market and change often, so call our sales team on +255 713 433 572 or email sales@metro-tz.com for a current price and your nearest dealer.
